Bespoke Miniature London Townhouse Architectural Model
This bespoke architectural model was commissioned by the owner of a beautiful London townhouse as a unique display piece celebrating the character and craftsmanship of their property. Every aspect of the miniature was designed and manufactured in-house, accurately replicating the original building while showcasing the intricate architectural details that make these classic London homes so distinctive.
The main façade was precision laser cut from **3mm white acrylic**, providing a crisp, stable foundation for the model. Each individual brick was **laser engraved** before being carefully hand colour-filled and scenic painted to recreate the authentic appearance of traditional London brickwork. This painstaking finishing process gives the model remarkable depth and realism that cannot be achieved through printing alone.
To capture the finer architectural details, we combined several manufacturing techniques. The decorative balcony railings and delicate window glazing bars were produced using **precision brass photo-etched components**, allowing us to achieve exceptionally fine detailing beyond the capabilities of laser cutting. Decorative columns, mouldings and ornamental features between the windows were produced using **high-resolution 3D resin printing**, faithfully reproducing the original architectural elements.
The completed model was then hand assembled and professionally scenic painted using reference photographs supplied by the client, ensuring every colour, texture and architectural feature closely matched the original townhouse. The combination of laser cutting, brass etching, resin printing and hand finishing creates a museum-quality miniature with exceptional levels of realism.
Finally, the completed model was presented within a bespoke **3D acrylic display case**, providing long-term protection while allowing the model to be displayed as a centrepiece within the client’s home.
This project demonstrates how combining traditional craftsmanship with modern digital manufacturing techniques can produce highly detailed architectural models suitable for collectors, property owners, developers and luxury interior displays.
