Custom Laser Engraved American Walnut Coasters for Manchester United Football Club
We are proud to work with Manchester United Football Club on a variety of bespoke manufacturing projects, one of which involved producing a collection of premium laser engraved wooden coasters for use within the club’s executive meeting rooms and as exclusive corporate gifts.
The brief was to create a high-quality coaster that reflected the prestige of the Manchester United brand while showcasing the natural beauty of solid hardwood. After reviewing a number of material options, we selected 10mm thick American Walnut, chosen for its rich colour, distinctive grain, and luxurious appearance.
Each coaster was precision laser cut into a perfectly round profile before being deeply laser engraved with the Manchester United crest. The engraving process creates exceptional detail while preserving the natural character of the timber, producing a subtle yet striking finish that perfectly complements the walnut wood.
Once engraved, every coaster was carefully hand-finished and treated with a light coat of Danish oil. This protective finish enhances the natural grain of the American Walnut, enriches the colour, and increases the contrast of the laser engraving, resulting in a beautifully refined product with a smooth, tactile finish.
A total of 300 bespoke coasters were manufactured for the project. Initially designed for use within Manchester United’s client meeting rooms, they also became premium corporate gifts presented to guests, partners, and VIP visitors.
