Bespoke Laser Cut Coca-Cola Advent Calendar – Custom Wooden Corporate Gift
For Christmas 2023, we were commissioned by Coca-Cola to design and manufacture a bespoke wooden advent calendar that would be presented as an exclusive corporate gift. The brief was to create a premium, reusable advent calendar that celebrated the Coca-Cola Christmas tradition while offering a unique and memorable unboxing experience.
Working closely with the client, we developed a contemporary 24-drawer advent calendar featuring festive laser engraved artwork, Coca-Cola branding, and individually numbered drawers designed to hold miniature cans and seasonal treats. The final design combined traditional craftsmanship with modern digital manufacturing, resulting in a product that could be enjoyed year after year.
The entire advent calendar was designed in CAD before every component was precision laser cut from 3mm birch plywood using our CO₂ laser cutting machines. The cabinet, internal drawer framework, back panel, and all 24 individual drawers were manufactured in-house to ensure exceptional accuracy and a perfect fit throughout the assembly process.
Each drawer front was individually laser engraved with festive icons and sequential numbers, while selected design elements were hand colour-filled to highlight the Coca-Cola branding and seasonal illustrations. The detailed engraving gives the calendar a premium handcrafted appearance while preserving the natural beauty of the birch plywood.
Following laser cutting, every component was carefully assembled by hand using high-quality PVA wood adhesive, producing a rigid and durable construction suitable for repeated use. The precision finger-jointed design ensured excellent alignment and structural strength throughout the cabinet.
The 24 sliding drawers were designed to house miniature Coca-Cola cans and festive gifts, allowing each compartment to be easily opened using integrated finger pull cut-outs. The completed calendar was designed as a freestanding display for desks, reception areas, and tabletops, while also incorporating discreet wall-mounting fixings, giving clients the flexibility to display it in a variety of settings.
In total, we manufactured 132 bespoke advent calendars during an intensive eight-week production schedule, with every unit designed, laser cut, engraved, assembled, inspected, and finished entirely in our workshop.
